FAQ's & Terms and Conditions
Here are a few frequently asked questions that should help you with any queries. Should you have any further questions feel free to contact me via e-mail, my Facebook page or via telephone.
How long will my portrait take?
In most cases smaller 6x8" and 8x10" portraits are completed in 1-2 weeks but please allow up to 3 weeks from when I recieve your photograph and deposit. Larger portraits and paintings are usually completed in 3-4 weeks but please allow up to 6 weeks. If you need the portrait for a particular date let me know and I will inform you if this is possible. I also do gift vouchers if there is not sufficient time for a portrait to be done.
How do I place an order?
Firstly you can contact me via telephone or e-mail and I will send you an order form. I usually ask you to send me your picture via email but by post is also fine just make sure your image is a sufficient size and quality to work from (see advice on photographs). Then you can return the order form with the photograph and deposit . I will check the quality of the photograph is sufficient before cashing any deposit.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes as you can appreciate portraits take some time to produce so as a gesture of commitment I request a 20% deposit before the portrait is started. You will be sent a proof of the drawing when it is completed for approval via e-mail and if you are happy you will then be invoiced for the final balance.
How can I pay?
I accept payment by cheque, bank transfer, PayPal and most credit/debit cards. Please contact me if you wish to do a transfer and I will supply the necessary account details. Please note if you use cheque your portrait will not be posted until funds have cleared.
Do you do gift vouchers?
Gift Vouchers are available and can be made to any value you wish and will be posted free of charge to yourself or the recipient. These can have a special message in a card of your choice added (see greetings card section). See below for terms and conditions.
What if I am not happy with the portrait?
I want my customers to be happy. If you are not 100% happy when you receive your final proof you pay nothing and your deposit will be refunded. However as commissioned portraits are bespoke items once they have been posted they will only be refunded if they are found to have a fault or are damaged on receipt. Please see refunds policy below for details.
Terms and conditions you need to know about
Refunds in event of damaged/ faulty items:
In the unlikely event of art work not arriving in good condition I need to be informed in writing (email is sufficient) within 14 days of receipt of the item. Photographic evidence maybe required or it may be necessary to return the item to Natasha Pitts Art (depending on nature of problem). If return is necessary return postage costs will be paid with the refund within 14 days of Natasha Pitts Art receiving the returned item. Natasha Pitts Art does not accept any responsibility for return postage, loss/damage in transit unless the portrait was received damaged/faulty by the purchaser.
Refunds for non faulty/damaged items:
Commissioned artworks are bespoke pieces and therefore no refunds will be made once the items have been posted unless it is deemed faulty or damaged as above.
If you wish to return and receive a refund of a non-bespoke item I need to be informed in writing (email is sufficient) within 14 days of receipt of the item. A refund will be made within 14 days of Natasha Pitts Art receiving the returned item in good condition. Natasha Pitts Art does not accept any responsibility for return postage, loss/damage in transit
Gift vouchers can be issued for any value you wish and are valid for 6 months only. (Though they can be post dated) Please note no cash alternative is offered. They can be used in part payment for commissioned portraits or go towards items on my website for sale. Unfortunately they cannot be used towards my products on zazzle if in doubt ask me before purchasing a voucher.
Can I visit Natasha Pitts Art to discuss commissioning a portrait?
As I work from my family home rather than a studio I only allow visitors at specific times so please discuss this with me and we can arrange an appointment.
